Hello

I was recently billed for Avast and McAfee Total Protection - 3 devices.

They were £69.99 each. This is due to a recurring subscription.

I'm not sure why I ended up getting both and I doubt I need both of them.

If I should get rid of one, which one should it be?

Thanks

In the past McAfee was generally thought of as best to avoid - although that appears to now be in the past.
A quick search found some comparisons between the 2 -
.

And the auto renewal of anti-virus software is like doing the same with your car or home insurance - a sure way to be paying far too much. A few prices to compare against your auto renew price
Amazon product ASIN B074V94BH5 - £20 for 10 devices for 1 year
Amazon product ASIN B07YCGBTS7 - £33 for 10 devices for 2 years
And both are even cheaper for 3 or 5 device protection.

Meant to say:
1. shop around for the best prices, they were found with a quick Google search.
2. never run more than 1 AV program at once or they can see each other as malware and try to remove it, leaving you with little or no protection.
