    heyhey all

just trying to get my head round all the different versions etc and could use a hand.

Is the Korean SE really the best one to go for? and where can I get it from? Are the extras subtitled or not?

There is a version on my usual Asain shopping haunt, DDDhouse, but which one is this? (guessing one of the Japanese releases)

Any other versions that you would recommend as alternatives to these?

Or should I wait and see whether another more English friendly, extras subtitled version or a region 2 is released sometime in the future? (Although I'm guessing that will be around the time when pigs learn to fly)

I've ordered the Korean 2 disk set from Movietyme for £21.99. It appears to be the same as the Japanese Memorial box set which is a hell of a lot more expensive. I don't think the extra's are subtitled at all but what the hell the PQ and SQ are rumoured to be outstanding. The version at dddhouse is the HK non anamorphic realease with the subtitles below the actual picture.

I don't know of any other release thats in the pipeline.

    The DTS-ES soundtrack is outstanding!!

The film, however, is only ok which is a shame as the story was interesting

Yep Japanese director but filmed in Poland with Polish cast and crew. Quite effective, effects are great, and from what i remember they were created in quite an unconventional manner (something to do with scanning the film in and working on the effects digitally).

Basically about a photo realistic, virtual reality war game with a secret level.

Just remember reading that it was done in an unconventional manner to keep costs down. Certainly very effective, however it was done and I'd imagine its definitely one for someone in the trade.

I ordered mine from hkflix, which claimed 1-2 day shipping. That was nearly 2 months ago...

    Drunken Master,

Don't know how you can say the film is only OK. It has its flaws but is still a great and original movie, IM<HO. Still, I can see that it is not a film for everyone.

Just set up an account and ordered the Korean 2 disc set from Movietyme :)

Also thought I'd might aswell get Hero from CD WOW :)

    Thanks for the help

P.S Going to get Internal Affairs, but just wondering if there is any difference between the normal 2 disc set and the limited edition tin box?

And then there's Inner Senses to watch. Asian overload :)
