    Hi,

I was just wondering if there was any gossip about the AV8 and P7 being replaced?

I'm itching for an upgrade, but don't want to be caught out!

    Cheers

I heard they were working on the v4 software, which would add PLIIx. However, v4 was going to be a complete rewrite and that it would be a while before release.

That's my recollection of it anyway...

Given that the new DV29 supports the new HDMI spec with multichannel audio support, that would seem to make sense.

I am hoping for that too soon as I have just purchased the DV29.

    Hi,

"I guess they'll bring out a new hdmi-switchable processor at some point
    "

This is just the sort of thing I was thinking of, having been caught out once, paying a lot of money for the dead-end 'DAVE' module I am quite wary.

I think I'll wait a bit longer and see what comes up.

    Thanks
