    Hi,
Recently tried to use my system to just have very low level background music when some friends were around. BUT unfortunately I found that even at its lowest setting 0.5/-52db the sound level was intrusive. Anyone know of a way I can lower the sound levels or have you found the same issue.

    Regards
    John

I find that's the case when using the digital input (especially from Sky+).

Have you tried the analogue input - you could try changing the output of the source (eg on Sky+ you can turn down the volume output) or change the sensitivity of that input (ie increase to 4v).

    Hi Kryten,
Yep tried the analogue input and it is indeed quieter but still intrusive. I'll try the sensitivity input.
    Cheers

Cheers Kryten, changed the input trim on the CD to 8v and that sorted it.
    Regards
