    Hi..

    I have a SP AV32R 5.1,

If I was to get the upgrade to the 192 Dacs (not bothered with 5.1 bypass) would I get the PL2 upgrade included..(as its standard on the bp192 machine) or would I have to still pay the £100 for it ?

Also is DPL2 worth getting or do ppl find the TMS+Sub setting to do a good enough job ?

    Cheers

    Matt

IMHO DPL2 movie is very good and worth the upgrade. DPL2 music otoh I do not like at all and always use Direct+Sub or TMS5+Sub

    Hi Matt,

I'm afraid you still have to pay for the PLIIx license fee. You only get PLIIx if you buy a new AV, which has PL IIx instead of PL II as standard. I fully agree with the other Matt that PLIIx movie is great. I don't use PL IIx music either, play CD'ds with direct + sub.

In my opinion TM5 (with or without sub) is far better than PLII movie, dialouge especially is streets ahead. Far more detailed, precise and less of a processed sound
