    Hi all,

just bought a 2nd hand Tag av32r.... damn its gorgeous....

the opening of signs in DTS...... that cornfield..spooky...

anyway, I'm after opinions on a standard cd question..

I have a Sony DVP-S7700 dvd player....which is a reasonable cd player too....

what i'm wondering is: for standard cd's do i use the analogue outs of the player, using the sony's dacs.....or should I use the digital out and let the dacs in the tag do the work?

    many thanks for any thoughts,

    regards,

    Martin

Try them both and see what you prefer.

I'd imagine the Tag's DACs to be better, but I've never had the chance to compare these two.

i do not have the sony 7700 but the dac in the AV32R is better then a cheaper sony dvdp and linn karik cdp.

however, i would like to hear your own opinion as well.
