NOTE if this does go for sale it will be advertised in the correct forum.

A friend has asked me to find out as they are not that forum savvy. Was wondering if there was any market for AV32r still or whether it was wasting time putting it in the trading forums ?

If there was an interest I get the unit from my friend so I could answer any questions there and then but as far as can remember its not DP but does have most of the other upgrades on it ie 192 & 7.1

So time waste or not ?

there is still a demand but it depends on the spec for the best price

Colour does help silver or black as does Bypass 5.1 this seem to be the option most wanted at the mo

however 7.1ex and dab module can boost the price up but like all things prices are low at the moment

They are still selling on a well known auction site for reasonable money, but, as AMCross has said, it does depend on the exact spec.

Had my SP AV32R now since Jan 08 and then in Summer the DVD32FLR and it still amazes me.

I dont see me going Blue Ray for a long long time as many poeple have commented on this set up with the usual thing...Wow...is that Hi def or....I've never seen or heard that bit or look / sound so good.

Given the prices now I would recommed someone who is serious about sound and vision to get used Tag gear before faffing around with HDMI / Hi Def and all the issues that arise.

Wanted to sell my SP 3 months ago because I got hold of a DP (€ 1300.- on Ebay). Starting a bit higher I finallly asked € 550.- for the SP - but nobody wanted the unit for that money.
So I decided to keep it - I think it would be a shame to to give a top product away for less. You also have to consider that a god pre/pro of an other brand is hard to find for a reasonable price.

There was a black SL bp 192 no DAB went on eBay the other day for £870. And almost at the same time another, with exactly the same spec went at the second time of asking for £425.

    It's an odd world.

EDIT: there was one slight difference. The 800 quid one was sn: AVP-0037xxx and the 400 quid one AVP-0035xxx. But even so...

it was mine that went for £870, the guy that bought it was going to upgrade his 96k sp to a 192k with bypass but realised it was cheaper to buy one, he said it was worth paying a bit extra for a mint one with not much use as mine was. it was also a later one as the serial nos points out. I only had it a couple of years and paid £1200 for it:rolleyes:
like you say you just cant gauge what things go for...
on the same subject i only got £370 for my mint FLR

I have a spare DP 7.1 that gathers dust (hopefully for a very long time) as well as a spare SP that does duties in the office. I'm so paranoid about something going wrong, I even have a spare DVD32R and DVD32FLR!!!

Oh, now I have to be strong... :D
If you ever plan to sell it, look in the classifieds, there is somebody searching for it for a long time now... ;)

We moved house and now I want to upgrade my 5.1DP to a 7.1DP but they seem to be hard to find at the moment :(

    Cheers

    Frank

Well I have just put my on a well known auction site and after 2 days I have 23 watches and a bid, not too shabby response in my opinion. So yes I do believe that there is a good demand out there. I am quite frankly surprised but well pleased.

try as i may i cannot find it

also 23 watches may not mean a lot as they are 28 tag owners on here and we are all watching things on the bay to see if our investments are going the same way as bank shares

    I agree on the watchers.

It's an F3 and it's listed on eBay just as AV32R, the listing doesn't include the words Tag McLaren.

I'm watching it and I'm not going to buy it.

If it were a black BP 192 I'd have been making a bid no doubt.

You have bank shares too, eh?

    Now up to 32 watches, 291 visits - 1 bid:smashin:

    The title says

"Tag AV32R Processor - Lexicon, Meridian, Linn, Denon"

I do not understand the following comments:
    • not being able to find it
    • not mentioning "Tag McLaren"

Oh yes I do have bank shares as well, and I know which hae lost the most money!

Most people looking for Tag equipment use the search Tag McLaren, hence anybody who has a favourite search set up for Tag McLaren will not see your AV32R. I suggest you modify the title and add the words Tag McLaren to the description, that way all taggies will see it.

You won't be able to change the title now that it has a bid on it.
