I have a pioneer VSX-90. 7.2 and 5.2.2 atmos. My reciever temp reaches the upper 90's without driving it hard. So I decided to rig up two PC fans, one pushing air in and one pulling air out. I placed them on top the vents. And it brought the temp down to the mid to hi 80's. The fans are silent and run off 12 volts.
    Thanks for any replies,
    Tom

thanks for the idea. Mine overheated for the first time this week. I've just recently connected the Atmos so apparently that pushes it pretty hard. How did you connect the pc fans? sorry, I'm a complete noob to this. Have you tried putting one on one side and the other on top? curious if that further reduces the temp.
