Hi Everyone, so I was at best buy today and checked out a few systems. I'm looking for minimal sized speakers with good sound quality. I demoed the Def Tech SM55 bookshelf speakers and I think they are for me. Here is the problem, I'm tech illiterate when it comes to receivers and subs that would work best for these speakers. 70% of my use will be for music. 30% for watching sports, movies etc. The ideally I want to keep a receiver/sub combo $700-1000. I don't want to half ass anything because the speakers won't perform right? I attached the amp/sub link that the best buy guy recommended but is he just trying to sell me expensive products? I've heard Denon recovers aren't the best? I mean this comb would be $1300 plus $500 for the speakers is steep and pretty high for me right now. In addition, do you guys recommend I get a center channel/sound bar or something? Thanks for your guys help! I really appreciate it.
