Can anyone recommend a good AV receiver with DD, DTS, and PLII, max price £350.

It must have a phono connection as I do not want to use a phono pre-amp.

    To be used 50/50 music/films.

    Currently considering a Denon 1803

Don't know which recievers have a phono stage ... not many probably ... best bet is to buythe reciever you want, then add a QED, Project or similar phono stage for around £40.

Why not? It's going to be tucked away out of site and will give you a far better sound than anything on an AV receiver in this price range.

I've got a project phono box if your interested, and honestly it sounds better than some built in phono stages, well mainly the rotel one I have upstairs.

As, IMO, no alternative AV receiver at less than £350 is going to sound appreciably better than the Denon you already have, I'd simply add a phono pre-amp to that and spend what you save on DVDs or lager!! :)

My Denon AVR1803 has a built in phono stage. It's available for around £280 these days.
