    Hi!

Maybe someone can help me... I am seeing that the Yamaha av receiver 630 can be with or without radio... The price difference is 100 euro, which is quite a lot... Now, I was wondering if it would be better to buy without radio, and then look for a tuner alone, or, since I do want a radio, I will not be able to find it for less than 100 euro with the same or better quality... What are your opinions? Thanks.

If it was me, and I wanted radio, I would get a receiver, rather than a seperate amp, and tuner.

you could add a DAB tuner later...

Ok, so you think that I wouldn't get a better radio for 100 euros than the one coming with the receiver... But what is a DAB tuner and what are the advantages? Excuse my ignorance...

100 Euros = approx £60, right? Then I think the built in tuner would be hard to beat at that price.

Sorry, may've been politer to have said digital radio rather than 'DAB'.

I meant get the analogue tuner today, then maybe later add a digital tuner if that takes off...

Ok, thanks. I guess you are right, I have been checking prices, and the cheapest was 120 euro, that means, £75. I think I must give up that idea...
About the digital ones, well, the prices are a little bit too high for my budget, so waiting seems like a good idea ;-) Thanks!
