I am looking at getting a plasma panel and will need to deal with the problem of lip synch.
    1. I could get an amplifier with Lip Synch facility. I have seen Yamaha do RX-V557 or RX-V657 which I can purchase for just less than £300. At this price level are there any other competitors products worth considering.
    2. I currently have a marantz AV receiver SR5200. This does not have lip synch function. Is there a box of tricks which I could combine with the Marantz to give me lip synch functionality.
    Thanks

If you are happy with your current AV receiver then you can just add one of These to correct the lip sync issue. Much cheaper than a new receiver (but not as much fun  ).

Lip sync is not an issue for everybody. It might be worth trying the plasma without any correction to see if it does bother you - you might be lucky and not notice it, just don't try too hard to spot it. Personally I find it way too distracting to ignore, but I guess I'm just lucky like that
