Well, I just bought Yamaha RX-V550, and it's great, but...

When I connect audio from VCR the PC audio gets "noise". I know that the video antenna from TV causes it, so the big question is...

How to get rid of noise without having to unplug VCR audio connection.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forums

Can you elaborate as to what the problem is. Is it just a hiss you are getting or is it more pronounced?

I don't understand the meaning of "hiss"... Sorry, if you could explain.

What I'm getting is something like background "bhhhooooo" :D

The problem occurs when the antenna with TV signal is connected through VCR and the audio out from VCR to receiver. The sound from VCR is ok, but the one connected from my computer isn't. When I disconnect the TV antenna everything is fine, but of course then I don't have TV audio... :)

I know it is a common problem, because lots of my friends had similar problems, and it has nothing to do with receiver. I had the same problem with previous amp, but thought that AV receivers had some kind of built-in systems to avoid this problem. Obviously I was wrong... :)

So, again i need some help to finally get rid of the problem.

Could there be 2 components sharing the same RF frequency? Maybe you need to re-tune the channel your VCR is on?
