Hi, my AV Receiver only has one optical input, which is currently being used by my Xbox.

I want to add a DVD player, and that's going to need an optical connection too. Is there such a thing as an optical switch box or hub or something? Is that the best route or is there another way to do this?

    Cheers...

It has one. Do they do the same thing then?

Sorry if that's a stupid question!

Some people even say the Co-axial cables sound better than the Optical one's, but the Jury's out on that one.

    Try www.lektropacks.co.uk ...

and also, the coax and optical routes are the same, but if your DVD does not have a coax output you need optical or a converter ... (for which also see web site quoted) ...

    Thanks all,

The dvd player I want is the Toshiba SD520E, which has a coaxial output, so looks like I'm fine there.

    Cheers, much appreciated. :)
