    Hello AV Experts

I installed a Stero Audio Video cable on my Sega Genesus to provide
crisper images and stero sound. I connected it to the three(3) ports
that are color identified by yellow, red and white. The other end of the
cable, I connected in the rear of the Sega unit. The last instruction on the literature that is packaged with the cable is where I need help. Here is the statement: "Select the audio/video input setting on your stero TV". Is this accomplished with the remote control? Keep in mind that the Sega unit was in
use with an RF adapter designed for the Sega. I removed the RF adapter so
I could plug in the new AV cable to the rear of the Sega.
    Thank you for your consideration.

Press the AV button, a box with an arrow going into it usually. If you have more than one AV input on your TV you may need to cycle through them before you find the one your console is plugged into.

Not able to put your answer to a test. There is no AV button on the TV set or the
remote controller. The TV has a menu button, however none of the items seem applicable. The remote has a setting button and none of the items that come up seem
to relate to what I'm trying to accomplish either. Hope you are able to give me some more information.
    Thank you.

If it is an older set might have to tune in a unused channel and use that.
