I've recently purchased the Sennheiser Momentum II's, which are amazing and I tried searching for any AV amp that has a bluetooth headphone stage with aptX so I can use the headphones in the lounge.....absolutely no success.

Has anyone got any amp recommendations?

    Cheers

Yamaha musiccast system allows for blutooth headphones to be connected. Not sure if it's an apt x variant or not though.
So any yamaha amp with musiccast feature will certainly connect to your headphones just not sure what type of blutooth is engaged that's all.

I'm slightly confused what you're looking for.

Aren't Sennheiser Momentum II wired headphones? aptX is a CODEC used over Bluetooth for wireless headphones.

If they are Wireless headphones, then you might need to use an external Bluetooth transmitter.

I think they recently launched a wireless version with noise cancelling.

My recently acquired Yamaha RX-A3050 will connect to my Sony Bluetooth headphones no problem.
It has bluetooth in and out, but I don't think its output is aptX. Sounds ok though.

Not sure if it applies to all of Yamaha's 2016 AV Receiver line up, but I'd wager bluetooth output will definitely be included on all 2016 Aventage models.
