    Hi All,

Would like to say hello as I am new to this great forum. I have been into AV now for 6 years and love it. I currently have a PDP-434HDE, VSXD2011,Sony DVP-S725D soon to be upgraded to 868, SKY+
Jamo classic 8 for front L/R Jamo centre 7.2 and Eltax Sympony 4.2 for the rears and REL Q150E sub.

Can you please give me your thoughts on my speakers as I feel it's a bit of a mismatch? Anyone else using these? What do you think?

Also I am thinking about upgrading my AV amp to the AX5i, I am getting the new 868 Dvd player at some point. Is there any real sound differences from the two amps?

    Thanks. :smashin:

As all the front 3 are from the same manufacturer yopu should have decent enough match, the rears don't have to be the same as less audio comes from these. Although I don't have any experience of your speakers I'd say if youyr happy with the sound thats what counts.

I've never had the centre to match the rest of my speakers although I've never really noticed, I'm sure there are those on here who would be able to hear a problem straight away but I think it sounds awesome!

the ax5i is now replaced by the ax5Ai. not sure about yours but i'd assume the ax5ai has better amplification , better build , auto-setup and probably yours doesn't have iLink. if you plan on getting a 868 you should look into something with iLink , like the ax5i\ai.

    HTH.

    I'd just venture that I recently went from a VSX-D2011 to a VSX-AX5Ai with a DV-868AVi and the sound over I-Link is...

    I quite like it ;)
