Anyone know of a way of sharing one pair of speakers between two sources where the switchover is automatic ?

    TIA

What selection criteria? ie how would the unit know when to switch?

The switch should detect the active source and switch the speakers to that source.
If both sources are active then the switch should not changeover from the last selection and indicate with an led that both sources are active. Likewise if both sources are inactive.

    Anyone seen such a switch?

Hmm - what level of signal defines active? Should it be adjustable? what sort of hold time is needed to prevent unwanted switching? - most music has periods of silence (depending on what you listen to, of course), radio stations certainly do.
