    Hi all,

I'm sure this has been answered many times before, but I can't find the answer.

I recently bought a TH-37PX80. Really pleased with it - coming from an old 32 inch LG CRT, the picture quality is infinitely better. Anyway, I'm planning to mount the panel on the wall, but I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where, sorry) that Panasonic models have non-standard fixings. Does that mean that a standard VESA wallmount is out?

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm planning to mount just above a dado rail (out of reach of little children) with a tilt mount.

Also, I remember seeing a wallmount with a cutout in the middle of the wallfixing, to make way for cables coming out of the wall, but have no link (I really should start bookmarking). Anyone seen these before?

    Thanks.

Hi inzaman. I'm new to avforums and didn't realise there was a specific section.

    Thanks.

    Hi

    Yes, the Panasonics have a special arrangement of 660mm x 320mm which is non-standard. Any universal bracket should fit though;

    M-Form - 32" to 50" Tilting Universal LCD/Plasma Bracket

This bracket is supplied with Free Delivery and our unique G-Fit Guarantee.

    Regards
    Graham

    Hi Graham,

I think this was the bracket I'd seen before, maybe linked from another avforums post :)

Looks like this is the best mount for me. The large cut-out in the middle should work well for my install. In the manual, it says to use all fixing points - I'm fixing to blockwork through drywall so 12 fixings seems like overkill. It should be fine with 6 sturdy fixings shouldn't it?

    Hi

You could use 6 large fixings in the middle and corner points and then smaller ones in the other points. We always recommend using all the fixing points as the plate relies on it's fixing to the wall to add to it's strength. Having said that, your TV isn't that heavy so shouldn't really bea problem anyway.

    Regards
    Graham

    Thanks Graham.

I've ordered a pack of 6 rigifix fixings from markgrantcables.co.uk. I will use these as you suggest, then use some regular plasterboard fixings on the other points.

I'll post an update on how it goes.

    Hi Graham,

You seem like the man in the know. I want to mount my Panny 37PX70 on a cantilever arm so I can mount it in a right hand sight alcove. The TV will need to come out about 600-700 from the wall before turning. Can you advise one of your products and quote for delivery to Northern Ireland?

    Many thanks

    Richard
