Audiophiles Mp3 player that can create on the fly playlistss

I have a Sony s639f that is nigh on perfect except I'm getting frustrated that I can't juggle tracks and create my own playlists whilst on the move.

Do any of the more recent models from Sony, cowon etc (talking SQ here) offer this facility? No Apple talk please as I have a Touch already but too bulky for gym use.

If you don't mind taking a punt and voiding the warranty, how about a Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox installed to replace the stock firmware? The SQ on the player is excellent (belies its low price tag) and Rockbox allows on-the-fly playlist creation amongst many other features. I installed Rockbox on my Clip+ over the weekend, and I'm very impressed.
