    Hi,

I have an audiolab 8200CDQ with two 8200MBs. This is connected to a pair of spendor A5. I was wondering which filters on the CDQ would be best to use and best suit the system. Also would a different filter be better for watching films than playing cds, which i also do with the system through a blu ray player connected to the CDQ.

    Thanks
    James

James...this is going to sound a bit obvious perhaps, but the point of having user selectable fiters,is to allow you to find which setting suits you best.

For instance,I tend to use the minimum phase or linear phase settings on my own DAC,as the steep filter does change the sound to the point where it flattens dynamics and takes away from the music overall.

You need to try for yourself.
