Audiolab 8000C pre-amp (Noobie question)

hello,

I am in the process of upgrading my system from a simple Integrated to a pre-amp / power amp combination.

Right now I have a Marantz PM 66SE which has been driving my TDL RTL3 floor standers for many years giving me very acceptable sound.

I have got hold of an Audiolab 8000C second hand and I want to match it with a suitable Power amp - ideally a pair of power amps so i can bi-wire the speakers - which I'v never done before but have been told that this makes a huge difference to the sound.

My questions are as follows:

1. Can I connect the pre-amp to my integrated amp? Or is this is a stupid thing to do? Can it cause any damage.

2. can I connect the 8000C to 2 power amps? Will all the connections be there to do this?

3. How does Mono-block work? I am assuming that each monoblock drives just one speaker. So if I wanted to bi-wire then I would need FOUR mono-blocks? How would I connect my pre-amp to these??

4. What are suitable matching power-amps for the Audiolab 8000C less than £500? Can I match it with power amps from cambridge audio or ARCAM for less than £500.00?

Sorry for the newbie questions. I want to take it up a level and am just starting on this process.
