I cant get the remote to work on it volume, dim, standby, display on off work but thats about it.

I know that most of the buttons dont work as it meant for other model they are crossed out on the manual, but the menu button should work but not with mine. You cant get access to the filters or anything without the Menu.

Im sorry for bothering you Guys with all these problems im thinking Amazons reduced price was too off load a duffer. I even sent away for a Wi Fi extender to help with disconnecting, probably a waste of money.

At the bottom of the remote, there's a section marked "Device" (with 3 buttons) - "CD" "A" & "N" This selects the Device you want to control with the remote:

"CD" - Controls the 6000CDT
"A" - Controls the 6000A/Play
"N" Controls the 6000N

Press the "A" button - this puts the remote in "6000A/Play" function. Now all the amplifier related buttons will work and you'll be able to access the menu by pressing "menu" - AFTER you've pressed "A"

The answers actually in the 1st picture in your post.

Fwiw I never buy any major AV gear like amps etc from ebay/amazon. Preferring to go to specialists such as Richersounds, Sevenoaks, AudioT etc. Much easier to sort any technical or aftersales stuff too.

Many thanks for all the help i have decided to return both Amplifiers pity i liked them both the Audiolab was always disconnecting and the Yamaha only worked Amazon Music by Bluetooth.

I just have to find a decent Stereo Amplifier with Wi Fi and has an App that is reliable.

I never got the chance to try out your tips for the remote i have already packed it up, sorry for wasting your time, it was the disconnecting all the time that bugged me. I ordered a Wi Fi extender as well i will just have to send it back.

Fair enough. In all honesty though, I think you're being a little disingenuous with regards to both the amps you're returning. I don't think there is/was a fault with either of them Imo, both functioned as expected.

I think the wifi dropouts you're experience are more down to the limitations of WiFi itself. I would always, if possible connect streaming devices via ethernet if the choice is available. I suspect you would not experience dropouts if it was connected via ethernet.

As I'd already said in a previous thread of yours. The DtsPlayFiapp is extremely buggy which is a well documented opinion on forums etc. The only native streaming service built into the 6000Play is Spotify. If you use any other streaming service (Tidal, Amazon, etc) this is sent from your phone/tablet via WiFi to the Play. This is the reason I have the 6000A & not the 6000N or 6000Play.

As integrated stereo amplifier the 6000A is a lovely bit of kit - without the buggy streamer part that is the 6000N/6000Play. The 6000A doesn't have any network connections as it doesn't need them! I am very happy with my 6000A and it's not missed a beat in the time I've owned it. I've only had 1 firmware update from new, which imo demonstrates how stable a device it is.

The 6000APlay is let down by the buggy implementation of DTSPlayFi. Take that out and you have a very good amp, which even you yourself admitted. That amp is the 6000A!

Hope you find a solution that works for you though!

If you liked the sound of the Audiolab, I would buy the Audiolab 6000A. It's exactly the same amp, just without the built in streamer - so has no ethernet/wifi as it doesn't need an Internet connection.

Then get a Bluesound Node 2i and connect it via the 6000A's Coaxial, so it uses the 6000A's good onboard DAC. The Node is a standalone music streamer - this connects to the Internet.

The BluOs app used by the Node 2i is much better than DTSplayFi

If you want a 1 box solution, you could get a Bluesound PowerNode 2i - same as to Node2i with built in Amplifier & HDMI Audio port (so you could connect it to a TV etc.
