I have a Panasonic E-65 . When recording via dv input the stereo soundstage is lost from the original recording. Recording via the analog inputs maintains the soundstage but bottom end is is lost and of course picture quality is slightly poorer.
Does anyone know if the loss of stereo image is at the panasonic recording stage or on my Jvc Dvs3 video recorder which connects the two devices via dvi.
If it is the Panasonic i guess you cannot expect too much for a £275 recorder but does anybody know of a dvd recorder that maintains the stereo image on dvi input recordings?
    Thanks.
