Audio problems with firmware v4.0

I just upgraded my XE1 from v2.7 to v4.0 and now have serious audio problems through s/pdif.

Each time a DD+ track starts my XE1 gives out a loud crackle. Firmware version 2.7 (and those before) never had this problem. v2.8 did, it was one of the reasons I switched back to 2.7.

Anyone else who experienced this problem?

Mines fine and your the first to report this problem you could always rollback?

Thanks kingfats, might do so, but not immediately.

Had the problem with the first title I tried (Transformers), now watching dvd's and other HD titles to see how well v4.0 deals with them.

Are NTSC/60 dvd movies properly shown at 24Hz? My R1/DTS version of The Haunting looks super sofar!

Could be some s/pdif communication problem, but I have no other gear to test this on.
