    Carrying on from an earlier thread which should now be closed by moderators for being embarrasingly stupid...( Audio Pro thread )

    I have had a demonstration where the salesman showed my a scene from "The Day After Tomorrow" on a Pioneer 435XDE (The scene where all the tonadoes rage around Hollywood) and Audio Pro sub-sat speaker package.

    He then changed front speakers to 3 x Canton CD50 (Left+Right+centre) and M&K K9 Subwoofer with AN Other speaker pair at the rear (don't know make/model) And showed the same scene of the movie again.

    WOW! the difference is enough to destroy the Hollywood Sign!! :smashin:
    I really liked the sound.
    ( Edit: He made absolutely no change to the Amp volume or settings )
    Superbly clear. I could hear vocal dialogue very clearly even with all the tornado storm noise all around the room

    I'm definately giving the Audio Pro Speakers a :thumbsdow

    Sounds great even when playing an ordinary stereo CD music

    He has revised his speaker quote. I am having difficulty finding on the net a breakdown of the following speaker package:

    3 x Canton CD50 (Front Left, Centre, Front Right)
    2 x Canton CD10 (Rear Left, Rear Right)
    M&K K9 Subwoofer

    What is a reasonable price for the above 6 speakers? (They sound amazing with the Denon 2105 amp) I wont yet say what his total quote for these speakers was until I get a reply.

    Many Thanks

    Brendan

    What was your budget again, you shouldn't hurry on this one bit!
    Check web sites first, Wharfedale, B&W, Quad, Monitor Audio etc make really good speakers, different sizes and colors.

    You should seek ones that are good with music, then you'll got your HT. If you go other way around, you'll end up buying cheap subsat system.

    Even take 2-3 nice speaker models home and compare them with a glass of wine. Then you'll know the differences. Just don't drink too much, mate! :nono:

    Check

    B&W 600 and 700
    Quad 11L, 12L and 21L
    Wharfedale Diamond 9.2 and 9.5, Pacific Evos and Emerald 97
    Tannoy Fusion 2 and 4

    For the Canton's here it goes, not sure on the SUB.

    This is from Tenspot
    3 X CD50 = €387.00
    2 X CD10 = €89.00
    Shipping = € 53.91
    Cash on Delivery Charge = €13.00

    Total = €542.91

    Converted to GB pound = £380

    Note, shipping above is quoted to Ireland cause that's where i'm from and my tenspot account is set up to deliver to Ireland but i can't see it being a mojor difference either way to ship to the UK.
