Audio Out for Sony TV KDL-40EX503

About to collect new LCD TV - Sony KDL-40EX503 (from John Lewis). Would like to try playing the sound through my old Denon amp and stereo speakers. Has been suggested in the Speakers Forum that ideally the TV will need analog (meaning not digital) AUDIO OUTs. (or, at bare minimum, a Headphone output). Anyone out there know if it does, and if so what sort of cable I might then need?

Sorry, it doesn't have analogue out sockets only optical digital . It does have a headphone socket (3.5mm) so you could try a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to RCA phono plugs lead , it will work but you will have to unplug the lead from the headphone socket if you want sound from the tv itself .Watch you don't overload the amp input with too much volume.
