Recently bought a Grundig LED TV (model 32 VLE 4392 BF).

I want to connect an MP3 player and use the TV for audio only. I've tried the PC and component inputs but no luck. It seems that the TV blanks the inputs if no video signal is present.

If I connect the VGA from a lapto to the PC VGA connector on the TV I can play the MP3 using the PC audio input on the TV, but as soon as I disconnect the VGA the audio stops. I suspect the same would happen with the Component input.

Does anyone know a way to fool the TV into thinking that there's a video input so the audio input will be active. Maybe a small voltage on one of the video input pins?

Thanks
