Audio lead length of component lead

Can anyone tell me if they have the offical Wii Component cable, how long is the audio L and R leads? I have recieved my component cable from gameplay, and I whilst think it has improved the picture quality alot, I cannot connect the audio leads to an amp as they are too short (25cm??).

You can extend the audio component with a L09BR from Maplin. (That is 5m, but the also do shorter ones).
