Guys, is it possible to record the audio from a music DVD on the PC and save it in "my music" as an audio file or mp3.
If so what would I need
The PC is reasonable and has a DVD/CDRW combination and use Power DVDxp waht else would I need.
I have searched the forum and not found anything that helps and would really appreciate advice. Keep it plain folks, I am still learning.
Cheers

Yes you can save the sound

you have a number of ways to do it, if you have a Soundblaster sound card it has a sound recorder,
press play on your dvd player
press record on your sound recorder software, with the
"record what you hear" option ticked

another way would be use a DVD ripper and extract the sound from the disc, then use shareware stuff like cdex to convert it to wave or mp3
or use dvdavi to convert it to a wave file

any of these options should not prove too difficult
