Audio dropout from EP10 on audio CDs?

Hi all,

Got an EP10 from Play on Friday. Rather impressed with it and it compliments my Bluray nicely (makes for a great DVD player too).

Updated to V2.0 firmware and have been playing with it this weekend.

Have noticed there are random drop outs in digital audio (optical connection to amp) when playing CD's.

Is this a bug? Or is it a duffer?

I have an HD-E1 connected via phono stereo analogue outs for CD playback sounds awesome with no drop outs. Try it out on the HD-EP10

I haven't any spare RCA leads and use my Marantz for CD playback. Guess I could swap leads over to check. It's been excellent on everything else.

For £250 it's brilliant! Don't think it'll better the Marantz for CD playback but for upscaling DVD's I'm not too sure

This is exactly the same problem that exists with the XE1 and E1. As rooster-x says - if you use the stereo outputs the dropouts go away.

Hopefully we'll get a firmware release to fix this.
