a lot of my friends have recently been converted to the charms of all things dvd. however, they all agree on one thing - that audio commentaries are a complete waste of time. now i love listening to the audio commentaries and have done on about 90% of my 190 discs that have this feature. i was just wondering how other people felt about them and what their favourites were. the commentaries that i have actually listened more than once to (i know - i truly do have no life!) are all the commentaries on the region 1 kevin smith discs (clerks, mallrats, chasing amy and the clerks: animated series), the two john carpenter flicks (the thing and big trouble in little china) and the criterion edition of brazil (terry gilliam just cannot be shut up). the commentaries on these discs are absolutely hilarious (especially clerks, with jason mewes drunk as a skunk all the way through!) and incredibly interesting and if anyone has these discs and not listened to the commentaries, do so immediately! what does everyone think?
