Can anyone shed any light on if this unit (component to RGB transcoder) will accept PAL resolutions or even 720p and 1080i? It states 480P on the website and the general concencus is that this is the only res it takes, but a few have said it works fine with 1080i?

    Cheers Kane

PS. I've already read most of the stuff over at AVS!

Found out it will work at least with 1080i, using 480 sync timing! This means it could probably be used with any resolution by those with HCPC's and some scalers that can send a different sync signal than what is associated with those resolutions?

    Hi,

Have you looked at the Key Digital unit (kd-ctca2) which might have a few more options.
