It'll be a while before I can get to work on the attic, just mulling it over at the moment.. but some questions here anyway for those experts lurking on here. Semi-d 3 bedroom house, average size. 1. Getting some experts in to do the the attic conversion with the steel supports, electrics, flooring, walls etc. Sockets at front and back. Small window. 2. Then soundproofing of party wall and perhaps the attic floor - this is stop the noise leakage into the neighbours home. It's a semi-detached house. Will need to get the experts in for that too. 3. Finally I can work out the screen and projector etc myself, but presume most people install a small room to house their equipment near the back of the room and run the speaker cables from the front speakers and centre speakers to the receiver at the back of the room. I'm just trying to envisage the order of events, whilst considering running wires under the floorboards and all that jazz, plus when the best time would be to start the sound-proofing.. after the attic is converted or before, after the walls are done but before the floor-boards are put down or what? I know there are a few topics but don't wish to resurrect ancient threads. Any tips from those in the know?
