Can't wait to hear those mines in the asteroid field. Get Ready neigbours it's going to be LOUD.:D Perhaps I should give them some money to go out the day the disk arrives.

Well if they apply horizontal and vertical EE to the R1 again like SW:TPM I shall be sticking to the R2.

I unashamedly love Lucas' latest instalment and I can't wait until this sits next to Episode 1 in my collection. DTS would have been nice but i'm sure the DD soundtrack won't disappoint.

Episode II, LOTR - Extended Cut and Spider-Man all in the space of a couple of weeks..roll on November:)

I know its going to be a great dvd, but a great film that I want to own... well maybe not. I still don't own Ep 1 for this reason. I might hire it and see if my enthusiasm changes.

    Oh **** it I think I will buy it!:D

Play still haven't got it up on their site for pre-order.

Well, i think i got stung by ordering LOTR from EzyDVD...........still not arrived as yet :( when others have already had it!

So, where is the best place to buy Ep II for a good early delivery?

I see that Future Entertainment have it for £14.99 but it's R1 whereas Play have it at £15.99 for the R2 version.

I'm not particularly worried about which version i get (although i'd prefer R2).................I just want to get it early!

    Any experiences?

Think I'm gonna plump for the R2 (for some reason I think PAL is just that little better on my TV) but is anyone really worried about Jango Fett's missing head-butt?

    Hi,

If the money making machine George Lucas, can bring out one version of his beloved star wars films, why can't they do the same for LOTR. There was only one version of E1(episode)?, and now probably E2.

Shame on you greedy companies. Maybe the 'greed' of owning the ring as in the film, has gone to their heads.

What date differences are there between the UK and US versions of AOTC.

We don't know yet, as the R2 Spec's and release date for the disk have not been release yet. :(

The disk will more than likely been identical. I just want to get my hands on it. R1 may come out a week or two earlier that the R2.

R1 for me, the usual case of correct running speed (and therefore sonic pitch).

I just found this. It's the details of the disk and release date for R2.

    http://www.r2-dvd.org/article.jsp?sectionId=2&articleId=4470

The only differences are we get it a day before R1, and the R2 disk has the "R2-D2 beneath the dome" mockumentary feature, that is not mentioned on the R1 disk.

    Nice.:D
