I need a volunteer to attend the sub test against the BK Gemini subwoofer.

Would ideally like to test the Gemini and Quake side by side, so if any owners who are near Bedfordshire, or are willing to travel to Bedfordshire would like to join in, please let me know.

    Regards

    Kaz

I'm a sort of Rel Quake owner. I say sort of because all I've been able to do is take it out of the box, power it up and plug it into my PC's speaker out just to make sure it wasn't DOA. Its back in the box now and waiting for me to move house in a week.

I'd guess that your tests would be better on one which has bedded in a bit ? But if you're desperate let me know and I'll see if I can help....going to be pretty busy with the house move though.

    Hi Kazman,
when do you need the Quake for? I'm all of about 20 miles away in mid Beds so I'd be available at short notice, my Quake however is in silver so it may not be suitable. Let me know,

    Stu.

Cheers Beelzebub, but you are right, would only be fair to use a sub that has already bedded in.

Going to bed in the Gemini before putting it up against the Quake :)

Stu, I think we have an option here :) We could do the review in living room conditions at my place, AND in your garage, we would need a full day, preferably a Saturday.

My wife goes to Dubai in a few weeks time to visit her family, so we could do it then?

Will update as soon as the Gemini arrives.

    Hi Kazman,

That all sounds promising, the only slight complication is that I work alternate weekends so I'm only about on Nov 5th & 19th but if we can organise something I'm all for it. Oh and what I refer to as the garage has actually just been converted into a home cinema so it's fairly comfy!

I live in Shefford and work in Leagrave just outside of Luton. I also have a diserning ear for bass.

I would be up for a critical listen of them.
