    ATSC is the High Definition TV standard used in the US. The ATSC tuner fitted in the US media box is for terrestrial HD broadcasts and so isn't fitted in the European box. Hope this helps.

    Very happy, thanks. Only wish I could have afforded the 50 incher. :smoke: The 4th gen MXE models should be out in the summer if you're interested.

    Dutch is correct.
    ATSC stands for Advanced Television Standards Committee
    and uses 8VSB modulation whereas our Freeview (and other digital terrestrial TV being rolled out in Europe) uses COFDM
    and is called DVB-T.
