Atmos Speakers (Height)

Im Running A Pioneer VSX-934 in 5.1.2 Mode my 2 height speakers are top of the wall mounted pointing directly to my viewing position (they are about 5 feet forward and 9ft vertical) Currently the 2 atmos speakers are Pure digital satellite speakers I had from my old surround system.

I have not really been overly impressed with the ATMOS sound only noticing a small amount of movies that are advertised as ATMOS but only a few have decent height sounds (Mulan was one of them!)

would I benefit much from putting in bigger ATMOS speakers or are the satellite speakers sufficient ?

TIA

EDIT: My other 5.1 speakers are all at head height (when seated) so there is a seperate Atmos layer..

Are the Atmos speakers set to Top Front or Top Middle?

Are the levels/EQ/etc okay? Can you try some Atmos demos and see if they sound okay?
