Atmos soundbar with a sloped ceiling

Hi all,

I'm thinking about upgrading my soundbar to the JBL 9.1, as I'm really keen to have Dolby Atmos. However, the room where I have my main TV has a sloped ceiling where the roof is, right above the sofa. I plan to have the satellite rear speakers just behind the sofa on a 'ledge' (which is an old TV box), although the wall juts out 15cm right above the ledge, so there's not much room for the rear sound to project.

My gut feeling is that I'll be wasting £650 due to the room layout, and perhaps I should just stick to my Yamaha YSP-1600 for now, until the day we move and I have a better cinema room. I'm in no way an audio expert, so I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts on how Atmos will sound in this particular room layout.

Thanks for any advice, and apologies for the rubbish drawing.
