Not sure if this is right forum, but here goes.

After weeks of trying to get this card to do SVCD video capture in a standard format rather than ATI flavour I managed to get it working after downloading MMC 8.1 (7.7.0.1 was supposed to be standard but it didnt work).

My jubilation at capturing in SVCD and being able to burn using Nero and then the holy grail, of getting my Sony 735 DVD player to play it on Vivastar CDr was short lived. No sound.

Have narrowed it down to the fact that it is using the mic as audio source. I used to be able to select audio source in Ulead products (DVD workshop for example) and can no longer do so.

Can anyone tell me if they are suffering the same fate? It appears to be a result of the MMC 8.1 upgrade but I cant prove this. Anyone else made the upgrade and suffering same problem?

Any hints diagnostics or tweaks would be gratefully appreciated.

    Just in case anyones interested:
    Deleted all drivers
    Uninstalled all ati software

    Installed WDM drivers first
    then display drivers

    Everything hunky dory

Audio properties now available in ulead

    Everything hunky dory

    Then I installed MMC 8.1
Looked at TV program for capture
    Can now select audio source

    Captured perfectly

    Tried ulead
    It crashed

    Rebooted
Bootup stops when loading display drivers

Nice to see that ATI have released robust drivers that work together.

w@nkers (apologies for strong language most of these discoveries were made late at night)
