OK got my mobile 9600 pro turbo working with "mobilised" 5.9 drivers and the catalyst control center.
Joy! The 720*576 PAL resolution is available without using powerstrip (messed up my laptop's display but good with that)
But.
The only refresh rates I can use are 60hz (default) or 'force' 75hz, 100hz. If I select 48hz or 52, the only resolutions available are 800*600 and up.
Play back (of 720*576i 50hz digital tv recordings) suffers from the 50-60hz-50hz conversion and I can see blur (outputting to my TV via S-video).
Why have the PAL resolution but not allow the user to use the correct refresh rate? Is there a tweak I can use to change the refresh rate without going (bios tweak to change properties fo "default TV"?) without having to play around with powerstrip?
