Just need some general advice guys...........
I'm putting together a new system and wondered if there's any special requirement for an upgraded power supply. The one I'm running at the minute is a bog standard 400w unit in a B' Standard case.

    System will consist of :

    Athlon 64 3200+
    Gigabyte GA-K8NS pro board (nForce3 250)
    1 GB Crucial RAM
    Herc ATI 9800Pro GC
    Pio 107 DVD Writer
    2x 160Gb Maxtor in Raid

Any thoughts or pointers from anyone who's set up an A64 system please LMK.

    Quality over quantity...

An Antec 420w will be more stable and has better current capacity than a Qtec 550w

    Makes to go for....

    Antec, Enermax

I would purchase a 550w supply for that lot. You could get away with 400w but I bet you add more to your PC at a later date.
