Just a quick question, does this motherboard support an AMD Athlon2500XP CPU?

Would I benefict much from upgrading the 1900XP processor thats already installed and working in the PC (from MESH)?

If I was to change the CPU, would I have to change anyhting else?

I assume you have the a7V 266-e board, which only supports processors up to 266mhz bus, unfortunately the 2500XP barton is a 333Mhz chip. I think the highest Thoroughbred core available at 266Mhz is the 2400XP chip, and you may need a bios update to run that one. Check on the Asus website :)
