Does anyone know what the astig cross and edge focus function is for? (NEC 9PG+) I am not quite sure what this does, the convergence is 99.9% done and the picture is really good. Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

Here's what to do to see how these affect image...

Use TEST button and put up fine dot pattern.
Press FOCUS button and turn focus to full. You'll get a fuzzy dot. Turn off Red and Blue just have green up.
Now turn contrast up to near 100 and you'll get blooming making the dot really fuzzy and big.

You should see a dot in the centre with a halo around it. The astig changes the shape of the halo. You want it to be round. Try mucking around with it and you should see the effect. Remember where it was set before so you can go back.

The EDGE focus does just that. It's a GLOBAL edge focus. Look at bottom of screen and adjust it. You'll find that either "h" or "v" will affect bottom/top and the other will do sides. Look at middle of side and middle of bottom.

You may want to do the FOCUS part with contrast set at usual levels rather than at 100. Don't want to burn little dots in to your raster.....You'll be fine with it all out of focus for doing astig though.
