recently saw in a non-official 360 mag that being released in 08 is creed 2 :eek: now is it just me but creed was starting to be made before the 360 so shouldnt we be lucky to see creed 2 on the next xbox. i think the mag needs to get there facts right.
    rant over ;)

if this turns out to be false which im certain it is can a mod add rumour to the title and move it to an appropriate thread.

That would be good, but unfortunately i too doubt it, as no decent sequel can be made in 1 year (apart from sports games, but not a lot is altered in between each version). I don't think there will be a direct sequel, i just think that there will be another similar game to Assassins Creed, but with a different genetic memory in the animus. Not released any time soon obviously!

Considering AC is the first chapter in what is to be a trilogy of games then its not really unexpected that a sequal would at least be in development. I would be very suprised if we did not see a sequal especially considering the ending of the 1st game.

I to can't see them bring out creed 2 so soon after the first one. I think its going to be awhile before any details come out as they will want to get as much revenue from creed one to put into the making of the next title.

Once a game is finished that has a new engine running it like Assassin's Creed which has taken a few years to make, you can guarantee that the developers are going to release a number of sequels each year to get their money back. Once the game engine's finished it just more level design for a new game to be made and maybe a few tweeks to the overall code to improve and enhance it some more.

Ubisoft did exactly the same with Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia a few years ago. Once the original games where out, sequels followed on a yearly bases.

The only thing that will slow down the development is that for HD, textures need more work and models need to be more detailed, which can take more time.

See the Assassins Creed 2 teaser trailer is up - ANIMUS

Looking at the video which doesn't give much away I would guess it's set in the Renaissance period. The Leonardo da Vinci Vitruvian Man is in the trailer so it might be the late 1400's ?

Cracking. Loved the first one.
I heard it was a trilogy, but the later episodes were meant to be in the present day. Perhaps you'll break out of the lab in this one.

an odd teaser but no doubt gametrailers will post an analysis vid soon like they did with modern warfare 2.

obviously heavy da vinci overtones illustarting the potential time setting and i note one of the da vinci-esque drawing shows a man with a 'bionic' limb...interesting!

Waiting for the original to turn up from play.com for 9.99. Looking forward to this one too (provided I like the first one - should do, I have PoP).

Looks just like the other game but with a different setting.

I hope they've done a lot more to change the game and improve the original, which I did enjoy, but a lot of people didn't and it was due to repetitiveness, the gameplay needs to be improve, made a bit more fun.

The game itself (the first one) i thought was really good they put a lot fo time into it i thought it looked pretty good as well my only critisicm of the game was it got quite dull after it hooked me at first but then after a while and so many of the same missions later i gave up on it,still a worthy game but im hoping and i think they will pull it out of the bag for this one.

Assasins creed 2 and ghostbusters on my hit list so far

This game sold by the bucket load courtesy of a good ad campaign so i think as far as theyre concerned its a case of 'if it aint broke dont fix it'.

Is it still going to have the stupid sci-fi element with the lab and all that? I hated that in the first one, totally ruined it for me.
