I have used two kinds of Zalman HSF. The CNPS7000B which is about £18 from Overclockers. Now I have the CNPS9500-AT (£35) because it has the 4 pin connector that allows the fan speed to be controlled by the mobo's bios ( or Speedfan). It runs about 33 degC idle to 39 degC under load at 40% speed, so it is almost silent once speedfan kicks in. I have a Silverstone LC17 case so height isn't a problem...depends what case you have.
