aspect ratio's and the 50G10

Does anyone anyone know if Panasonic are planning an update to the aspect ratio’s currently available in the G10 series? I have a Xbox 360 & PS3 both of which I user for movie playback connected to a 50G10.

Now when using the Xbox 360 I can stretch the screen to remove the black bars without affecting the left and right hand sides of the screen but if i watch a blu ray on the PS3 or films on t.v. via on sky movies for example you only have zoom options which crop the top bottom and left and right of the picture meaning you lose too much of the original image.

Surely it must be an easy software solution to provide an update to correct this?

 nothing wrong with the aspect ratios as far as I can see using freeview, freesat, blu-ray player, xbox 360 (component and hdmi)

These aspect ratios are the same for all Panasonic plasmas I suspect. Certainly the G10 ones seem identical to my old PX60's.

do you mean getting rid of black borders on films that are 2:35, 2:40 etc ratio? ;)

if you do - dont get me started! (see the blu-ray movies thread)

yes i do...... it drives me crazy why can't we expand the screen top and bottom and remove the black borders while not croping the left and right of the screen?
