    Hi
    Can anyone help me please!!
This is doing my head in.
I cannot get rid of the osd in the top righ hand corner of the screen that is telling me the aspect ratio currently in use. ie 16:9

I have a Sanyo TV and my DVD is connected RGB Scart.

I have the service manual, but I dont know what I should be looking for.
Any help would be appreciated before I launch the remote through the screen!!!!!

    Thanks

I'm not familiar with Sanyo TVs but a model number would be useful.

By service manual, I take it you mean user manual? Anyway, if you mean that the screen mode shows up all the time, then try turning it off by pressing whatever button on the remote displays 'info', or by holding it down for 15-20 secs...

If you mean it just comes up briefly whenever the screen mode changes, then I doubt there's anything you can do about that. My Sony TV does the same and it can't be turned off. Can't say I've ever found it annoying though.

Some TV's (Sony's) have a display icon button. Pressing it once shows the current channel in the top-right, and it stays there.

Similar to yours? Press every single button on the remote, it might disappear...

Is there a reset somewhere in the TV menu's? That should delete all channels, contrast/brightness settings, and hopefully remove that icon.

You'll need to re-tune the channels, no big deal.
