Aspect ratio of iTunes downloaded movies?

Ive just converted my Iron Man DVD (R1) to play on my ipod Nano (4th gen) using Dvdfab.

The movie only takes up about half of the Nano's screen, i guess this is because of the aspect ratio of the movie.

If i were to download it from iTunes, is the aspect ratio the same or is it cropped to fit the ipods screens?
