artifacts on f1 hd

    I see artifacts behind the cars on f1 HD, also same with superbikes on eurosports HD. Is this my problem or a broadcasting limitation.

    Didn't notice any on the f1 last year but haven't watched much of the pre season coverage so far. Could be your tv make sure you turn off any picture processing and motion handling settings, they rarely do any good. It could be the dish has moved and the signal is weaker but you'd likely notice it on other channels and loose the picture easily in rain. Course it could just be the results of the lower and lower bit rates Sky are using as they cram more channels in.

    TV settings are all as last season ie all enhancements off. Its a top of the range Samsung too. Panning shots OK, static camera shows what looks like a tiny vapour trial, but containing the colours of the car or bike. Might try the sky box at 720p to see if that's better

    This sounds like phosphor trailing mate,its probably your TV not the box.
